Shannon began her dance journey at the age of three with ballet, building a strong technical foundation before expanding into contemporary and lyrical dance. Her early training was guided by esteemed instructors Mr. Han Kee Juan, Mr. Jeffrey Tan, and Mrs. Lim Soo Chern, who shaped her artistry and discipline.

She completed her ballet training up to the Intermediate level of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and went on to dance pre-professionally with Singapore Ballet (formerly Singapore Dance Theatre) under its Scholars Programme. During this time, she performed in major productions such as The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty, gaining valuable experience on a professional stage and refining her performance quality.

Beyond Singapore, Shannon has broadened her training through summer schools and pre-professional programmes across Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, gaining exposure to diverse teaching styles and dance approaches.

During her schooling years, Shannon was actively involved in Modern Dance as part of her Co-Curricular Activity (CCA). As a leader within the program, she represented her school in various performances and competitions, gaining valuable stage experience while developing strong teamwork and leadership skills.

In addition to her dance background, Shannon has been a leader in the fitness industry for the past five years. Her experience in wellness and fitness complements her dance training, allowing her to bring a holistic, body-aware approach to her teaching.
