Variation Class Series
The Variation Class Series is designed to provide adult dancers with a structured and immersive approach to studying classical ballet repertoire. Each term focuses on an iconic variation from the classical ballet canon, allowing you to explore both the technical and artistic demands of a specific piece in greater depth.
At the end of the term, you will have the opportunity to showcase your work to family and friends in an in-studio performance.

Introduction to Variation is a beginner-friendly curriculum designed to introduce adult dancers to classical ballet repertoire in an accessible and supportive environment. Each term focuses on simplified excerpts from iconic classical ballets, thoughtfully adapted to suit dancers with limited experience. Through this process, you will develop a deeper appreciation of ballet repertoire while learning how to apply foundational technique within choreography.
The programme includes step-by-step breakdowns of choreography, allowing you to build confidence in coordination, balance, port de bras, musicality, and expression. You will also gradually develop your memorisation and performance skills as you work towards learning and executing a complete variation.
At the end of the term, you will have the opportunity to perform during an in-studio showcase for family and friends as a celebration of your progress and growing artistry.
This programme is recommended for adult dancers with 3 to 12 months of ballet experience.

The Foundation Variation Class is a structured curriculum designed to strengthen your understanding of ballet technique, terminology, and movement quality through the learning of classical repertoire. Each term focuses on an iconic ballet variation, thoughtfully adapted to suit dancers at a foundational level while preserving the essence and artistry of the original choreography.
Through the process of learning a full variation, you will deepen your application of foundational ballet techniques such as coordination, balance, turns, jumps, musicality, and port de bras within a choreographic context. This approach gives you the opportunity to refine technical details, build stamina, and develop greater confidence in movement execution. You will also gradually strengthen your memorisation, artistry, and performance skills throughout the term.
At the end of the term, you will have the opportunity to perform the variation during an in-studio showcase, either as a solo or in a small group.
This programme is suitable for adult dancers with 1 to 2 years of ballet experience, as well as for returning dancers looking to rekindle their relationship with ballet.

The Intermediate Variation Class is designed for dancers with an established foundation in classical ballet who are ready to further develop their technical precision, strength, and artistry through the study of repertoire. Each class builds upon foundational ballet technique with more complex barre and centre exercises that challenge coordination, flexibility, stamina, and movement quality.
Each term focuses on an iconic classical ballet variation, thoughtfully adapted to suit the abilities of intermediate dancers while preserving the stylistic nuances and artistry of the original choreography. Through the process of learning and refining a full variation, you will deepen your understanding of musicality, performance quality, spatial awareness, and technical execution within a choreographic context.
At the end of the term, you will have the opportunity to perform the variation during an in-studio showcase, either as a solo or in a small group.
This programme is suitable for adult dancers with more than 2 years of regular ballet training, as well as those looking to rekindle their relationship with ballet. Experienced dancers are welcome to learn the variation on pointe.
