Terms and Conditions
1. Changes to Terms and Conditions
1.1. These Terms and Conditions may be updated or modified by Assemblé Studios ("the Studio") without prior notice.
2. Programme Schedule
2.1. The programme schedule is subject to change. Please visit our booking website for the most up-to-date information.
3. Registration
3.1. Students may only attend a programme or class upon full payment of all applicable fees.
3.2. Registration may be opened for courses or programmes that have already commenced, at the sole discretion of the Studio. Fees will not be prorated. Any class credits not used prior to enrolment will be reinstated to the student’s account for use as make-up classes.
4. Refunds and Withdrawals
4.1. No refunds will be provided for absences or late cancellations of any programme or class under any circumstances.
4.2. No refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal from any programme or class under any circumstances. A request to transfer credits to another party or to receive a credit note may be submitted to the Studio if the withdrawal is due to medical reasons, supported by certified medical documentation. The Studio reserves the right to approve or reject any such request on a case-by-case basis, and all decisions shall be final.
5. Student Conduct & Discipline
5.1. Students must diligently follow all rules, guidelines, and procedures set by the Studio, including those related to etiquette, discipline, conduct, and attire.
5.2. Students are expected to be punctual and should arrive at least 10 minutes before the class begins. Latecomers without valid reasons may not be permitted to join.
5.3. The Studio reserves the right to terminate a student from any programme or class if, in the Studio’s sole opinion, the student does not demonstrate seriousness during class, exhibits disciplinary issues, or fails to meet programme requirements. No refund of fees or transfer of credits will be provided in such cases.
6. Class Scheduling & Trial Classes
6.1. The Studio reserves the right to change or cancel a scheduled class, or to substitute the instructor, when necessary. If a class is cancelled by the Studio, the corresponding class credit will be reinstated to the client’s account as a make-up credit. Reinstated credits may only be used for programmes or classes explicitly eligible for make-up within the validity period, as determined by the Studio.
6.2. A cancelled class may be rescheduled by the Studio to a different day and/or time from the originally scheduled slot, based on studio and instructor availability.
6.3. Trial classes are available for certain programmes only and are intended for the first lesson if a student is unsure about enrolling in the full programme. After the trial, the student may top up the remaining programme fee. Please note that doing so does not guarantee a spot in subsequent lessons if the class is fully booked by students who have already enrolled in the programme.
7. Rescheduling, Cancellations & Make-Up Classes
7.1. Rescheduling or cancelling a class must be done through the booking system at least 24 hours before the scheduled class time to avoid forfeiture of the corresponding credit.
7.2. A late rescheduling fee of SGD 40 applies to any rescheduling made after the allowed notice period. The Studio reserves the right to reschedule student(s) to another available day or time based on studio and instructor availability. (This policy applies to Private Ballet Mentoring, Wedding Choreography Services, and other private engagements only.)
7.3. Make-up credits are valid for three (3) months from the date of the cancelled class, as shown in the booking application. No reminders will be sent, and any unutilised expired credits will not be reinstated.
7.4. Make-up lessons must be scheduled within the validity period and may only be used for classes or programmes explicitly eligible for make-up, as determined by the Studio.
7.5. Any class credits not used within the validity period will be forfeited and cannot be reinstated under any circumstances.
8. Indemnity
8.1. Every care will be taken to ensure the wellbeing of students during class. However, classes may be physically strenuous, and participation is undertaken with the understanding that there is a risk of personal injury. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations, the Studio shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, death, penalty, cost, expense, or any other consequences arising from or in connection with any of its classes or programmes.
8.2. Students agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Studio, its management, members, and staff from all losses, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, orders, penalties, and costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) arising in connection with these terms and conditions.
9. Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
9.1. By enrolling in a programme or class, you consent to the Studio collecting, using, and disclosing your personal data for the purpose of processing your registration, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Your continued attendance at classes, workshops, activities, or productions constitutes acceptance of the Studio’s right to use your personal contact details currently held by the Studio.
9.2. The Studio seeks your consent to use your personal contact details, including phone number and email address, for sending information related to new events, studio activities, and promotions. This allows the Studio to keep you informed about the latest happenings, news, events, and promotions. Your personal data will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed for purposes other than those stated above.
10. Photography and Videography
10.1. The Studio reserves the right to take and use photographs and videos during any classes, workshops, or events for educational, promotional, marketing, or other purposes, including but not limited to brochures, invitations, publications, websites, and social media. Students who do not wish to have their image recorded or used for distribution should notify the Studio management prior to the event.
Please review these terms and conditions carefully before enrolling into any programme. If you have any questions or concerns, please write to us at hello@assemblestudios.sg.
